Megan Bruneau, M.A. RCC

Megan Bruneau, M.A., RCC is a psychotherapist, writer, and workshop facilitator who specializes in helping individuals change their relationships to themselves. Following a destructive relationship with perfectionism and disordered eating, Megan found yoga and its accompanying Buddhist philosophy. She now weaves the teachings she’s learned on her own journey into her writing and conversations. Megan’s workshops are appropriate for anyone struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-confidence, eating disorders, and any other perfectionism-related challenges.

Professionally, Megan holds Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Simon Fraser University, where her thesis research focused on relationship breakups. Previously, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Family studies from the University of British Columbia. She currently works in the counselling department at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, and takes a small number of private clients through Elements. With a background in the personal training and yoga industries, Megan is closely connected to the online wellness community: She is a regular contributor to such popular websites as MindBodyGreen.com–where she was previously featured as a Wellness Expert–GaiamTV.com, Aloha Magazine, Whole Health Magazine, and ElephantJournal.com, among others. She is also the relationships expert for RomanticReminders.com, and and the creator of OneShrink’sPerspective.com.
