Delaja Harder, Spa Massage

My name is Delaja Harder and I am a Registered Massage Therapist (in Germany) and a Bodyworker doing Spa Massage at Elements Wellness Centre.

Before I got where I am now, my path took a few detours. Even as a young child I was fascinated by how
soothing and deeply relaxing massage can be, how the system relaxes, how the mind gets calmer and how
the whole being gets more joyful and happy. I wanted to learn more about that.
But sometimes it is not easy to stay true to yourself in our society, to listen to your own gut and to stay on
your way. So I first studied languages and became a high school teacher. But I noticed very quickly that I
wanted to work with individuals rather than with a group of people, in order to be able to better respond
to them and their individual needs and wishes, and to be able to accompany them in their personal
maturation process.

So I finally decided to create a different professional environment for myself. One in which I can
approach people holistically and with full attention. One in which the people who come to me can feel
comfortable and nothing is asked of them. An environment in which you can feel completely at home. In
addition, I (again) recognized that purely verbal communication was insufficient for me, and I finally
wanted to learn to bring the wisdom of the body into the conversation.

I studied to become an Alternative Medical Practitioner at Arche Medica, academy for Alternative
Medicine in Berlin, with a focus on body therapy procedures. I learned different massage types, such are
Reflexology, Hot Stone Massage, Swedish Massage, and Holistic Massage and I trained to become a
Pantarei Practitioner. Pantarei is a Body-Mind-Therapy Approach in which practitioners want to bring
together physical sensations with emotions and thought processes. It uses (or can use) massage
techniques, breath, and verbal communication and combines all three in a session. The somatic bodywork
is very important to me and I am very happy to be able to share my knowledge and enthusiasm with my
clients.

I treat people who bring their very unique personalities, life stories and needs, some seeking wellness
treatments, others come with specific symptoms or diagnosis which we approach in our sessions. I am
glad that I am now able to follow this path, having had the chance to gain experience working with
patients suffering from different forms of chronic pain disorders, types of depression, anxiety disorders,
different auto-immune diseases, like fibromyalgia or rheumatoid arthritis.
