Kate Jay, NTP, CGP

I am a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner through the Nutritional Therapy Association, a Certified Gluten Practitioner and a classically trained chef (Leith’s School of Food & Wine, London). I am passionate about helping my clients reach their health goals through the use of nutrient dense, whole foods as medicine, always honouring bio-individuality as there is no “one size fits all”.

If you have tried alternative healing interventions and feel stuck, or have plateaued, I offer a very different hands-on approach. I can advise you on what, how and when to eat, to address chronic health problems.

In line with NTA training, NTPs look at the body as a whole, rather than just symptoms and where there is dysfunction, we start at the roots by assessing nutritional deficiencies in the body. We take a unique holistic hands-on approach with a Functional Evaluation, which involves palpating various points of the body that relate to the organs, in order to determine which one has taken the biggest hit. This is followed by Lingual Neuro Testing using high quality supplements, a process which taps into the Brain-Organ connection and allows the body’s innate intelligence to say what it needs in order to heal. This enables me to create a tailored supplement protocol, that your body itself has chosen. I can also check the body’s reaction to specific foods that might be a problem for your healing. By achieving balance within the body, it is possible to live a far happier, energetic and more carefree life.

I write the recipe and wellness blog Healing Family Eats (www.healingfamilyeats.com), aimed at those following elimination diets such as the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP), GAPS, SCD and Paleo. I am also currently studying on the Autoimmune Paleo Coach programme, which concentrates on helping those with autoimmune disease achieve wellness through diet and lifestyle.

I specialize in gut health, which encompasses getting to the root cause of:

  • all digestive problems
  • autoimmune disease
  • balancing blood sugar and busting cravings
  • chronic fatigue
  • skin complaints
  • joint pain
  • hormonal imbalance
  • food and environmental allergies/sensitivities
    and more

AIP Coaching – I can help you and/or your family transition to a healthy, sustainable diet and lifestyle, including the Autoimmune Protocol, which is designed to empower people living with autoimmune disease and includes navigating, trouble shooting and the reintroduction process.

Other services offered include:

  • food journal appraisal – advice on how to maximize your macronutrient intake
  • meal plans for elimination diets – maximizing nutrient density
  • pantry clean-outs and restocking
  • grocery and farmers’ market tours

As a total foodie, I want you to learn to love food again, at the same time as helping you heal.
