Sydney Wilson, RMT

Sydney’s journey into the world of massage therapy began in her early years. Born and raised in North Vancouver, she grew up competitively dancing, where the movement of the human body became an early fascination for her. She was drawn to the Spa Therapy Program at Vancouver School of Bodywork and Massage, where she focused on the use of massage to create a balance between the body and the breath. After completion of the program she continued to deepen her practice through yoga, movement and Deep Flow.
Sydney enjoyed the work and found it fulfilling to be able to help people. She constantly sought ways to build on her skills. Her decision to expand her knowledge of anatomy and treatment modalities began after a season as a bodyworker in a Heli Ski Lodge in Northern BC. She pursued and completed the intensive Registered Massage Therapy Program at Vancouver College of Massage Therapy. There she trained in modalities such as myofascial release, trigger point therapy, joint mobilizations, swedish massage, deep tissue, neuromuscular therapy and craniosacral.
She is passionate about the power of massage, movement and the breath as keys to wellbeing and their ability to facilitate change. Her treatments are personally attuned to each individual’s needs. She uses fluid, dynamic and integrative methods that focus on working together with the patient.
When she’s not working you can expect to see Syd amongst the trees, or near the ocean probably planning her next adventure.
