Learning to Take Refuge: Stress Reduction in Every day Life

The purpose of this one-day workshop is to offer participants the opportunity to learn and practice various effective and valuable stress reduction skills that they can use everyday. Attention will also be given on how to improve interpersonal relationships. Here are examples of stress reduction tools that we will learn and practice:
- Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches such as:
- Progressive Muscle Relaxation
- Diaphragmatic Breathing
- Visualization
- Mindfulness Meditation
- Mindful Walking
- Mindful Eating
- Grounding Exercises
- Nonviolent Communication
- Healthy Boundaries and Assertiveness Training
