Megan Bruneau, M.A. RCC

Megan Bruneau is a BCACC Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from Simon Fraser University. Supplementing her counselling degree is a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Family Studies, as well as years of experience in the mental health and wellness industries. As a former personal trainer and yoga and nutrition advisor, Megan believes in taking a holistic approach to psychological wellness. She has worked with variety of
clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties, eating disorders, addictions, career concerns, adjustment issues, low self-esteem, phobias, and more. Megan believes no concern is too small to warrant support nor too big to warrant freedom. She affirms that suffering cannot be quantified, and treats each client’s concerns with curiosity, compassion and care.

As a constructivist psychotherapist, Megan draws from mindfulness-based, compassion-focused, narrative, and solution-focused therapeutic techniques in session. She combines extensive theoretical knowledge, empirically-supported counselling skills, and years of experience in the mental health field to assist her clients through their emotional journeys. Throughout your time with her, she hopes to help you change what you can and make peace with what you cannot.

Megan believes that a good connection to the therapist is at the root of successful results. She offers a complimentary 20-minute consultation as well as an extended initial session, so you can ensure she is a good fit for you. Most extended health plans will cover counselling provided by a Registered Clinical Counsellor. Megan offers students and low-income individuals a reduced rate.
