We are excited about this months charity because one of our patients was the one to recommend it...we got together to make sure that the SPCA has lots of blankets, towels, food, treats & money to help both dogs and cats. One of our own practitioners dog has her own SPCA success story...abused and neglected this pup found a warm and loving person to nurture her back to health both physically and emotionally. She is a great example of what can happen when you open your heart and home.

This months charity of choice was Life Recovery Association chosen by one of our girls at Elements. This is her sisters charity and so with great conviction we banned together to ensure that we could do whatever we could to help out....and help out we did...I don't think I've seen so many bags of clothes before...between the girls at Elements and our patients we donated clothes, sheets, shoes, food and money to this amazing association that works hard to provide a professional and compassionate place for women with addiction. Life Recovery's purpose is to support women in their journey of healing from addictions to freedom.

We had a phone call from The Shooting Star Foundation asking us to help out in their silent auction and of course all the practitioners ban together to put a package worth all most $1500. We wish Karen the best of luck in her fund raising and hope others get together to help out men, women and children suffering with HIV/AIDS in our province.

The Elements practitioners were asked by a friend to help out the Food Bank. Of course we put together some grocery bags of food. We hope Kirista had lots of others help her in her quest to give to the Vancouver Food Bank.
