Biography Tova

Tova Payne

Tova has been immersed in the Health and Wellness industry for the last decade. With a background in Psychology and Science from McGill University she furthered her studies at The Canadian School of Natural Nutrition where she accomplished her Registration as a Holistic Nutritionist. Her focus is using food to rebuild and repair deficiencies in the body. She is also a Registered Yoga Teacher and has trained many clients on an individual basis gearing fitness and nutritional programs for ones individual constitution and needs.

The body works as a unified system. Just as each cell needs each other to conform into an organ unit, all the organs must work in concert in order to achieve wellness and a well functioning physical body. In order for the body to work optimally each cell in our body must be given the fuel it needs to repair and rebuild from the daily stresses. Our bodies are miraculous and have a tendency to gravitate towards health. However when we become depleted, when we are not eating and absorbing the nutrients our body needs to rebuild and repair itself - that is when weakness and ill health arises. As a Holistic Nutritionist I work on enhancing digestion, absorption and re-balancing weak organ systems, in order to restore wellness to the body. Moreover, just as the whole body is a unit, in Holistic Nutrition attention is given to the Whole Individual - the physical, mental and spiritual. Even conventional medicine can agree to the role that mental stress has on our physical well being. As a Holistic Nutritionist I work on a physical level with food as well as on a mental level to restore total health to the inclusive individual. We are our bodies, our minds and our spirits. A Healthy Body and Healthy Mind are inseparable and my mission is to give my clients the education and tools to achiever optimal health on every level of being.
