Taylor J. Laviolette, RMTPeople seek Registered Massage Therapy for a wide variety of reasons, including pain relief, exercise advice and relaxation. My professional objective is for my patients to leave every treatment feeling they got exactly what they came for. I believe that the formula for a successful treatment is simple: assess, treat, and reassess. Understanding the patient's needs may come in the form of a Standardized Orthopedic Examination to determine the underlying dysfunction causing the concern, or listening carefully and creating a supportive environment to encourage a deep sense of relaxation. My professional commitment includes biannual human cadaver dissections, regular study, and daily exercise. I am always pleased to learn, and teach, and I am an instructor at The West Coast College of Massage Therapy. Most of my post-graduate education, in addition to anatomy, has focused on the spine and pelvis. As someone who is a survivor of chronic back pain, I remain committed to learning about the human spine, common dysfunction and successful therapeutic exercise interventions. On a more personal note, I am a practitioner of Qigong and Ving Tsun Kung Fu. I am a guitar player, singer, and enjoy nothing more than spending quality time with friends and family. I, as a humble student of the human body, hope to never lose sight of the fact that we are fundamentally ignorant. Remain awe inspired and stifle certainty. I look forward to working with you,
