Alisha Hoover, Holistic Bodyworker

Alisha believes bodywork and massage to be an integral aspect in maintaining great health and well being. Trained in a variety of modalities, Alisha creates treatments that are unique to your personal wellness goals. Using her knowledge of anatomy and the body mind connection, Alisha bends the principles of traditional massage, creating a unique dance with each client focusing on mindfulness, awareness and intuition. With regular massage, the body’s natural energies can continue to flow freely, bringing balance to the body, mind and spirit!

Alisha began her journey into bodywork while living in Asia. She completed Thai Massage training at the International Training Massage School in Chang Mai, Thailand in 2008. Thai massage combines elements of bodywork, yoga and reflexology. It is great for increasing flexibility and range of motion, calming the mind, and relieving stress and tension. Alisha is also a Certified Shiatsu Practitioner. Shiatsu is an acupressure massage technique based on the holistic system of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It uses hand pressure and manipulative techniques along the Chinese Meridians to adjust the body's physical structure and its natural inner energies, helping to ward off illness and maintain good health.

Alisha completed further training at Vancouver School of Bodywork and Massage where she was introduced to Deep Flow Massage. Deep Flow is an approach to bodywork, based on alignment and the body mind connection. The treatment is intuitively created for each individual, meeting their needs on a structural, emotional and energetic level. The client and practitioner work together towards accomplishing wellness goals and outcomes discussed. A treatment may blend techniques from Joint Release, Deep Tissue Massage, Relaxation Massage, Breath work and Reflexology. Alisha looks forward to working with new clients and helping you to achieve your wellness goals.
